Axe Cool Metal Shower Gel Review

Let me start off by saying that this is not an advertisement, nor am I being paid by Axe, Unilever, or anyone for that matter.

Okay...

A couple of days ago I received a package in the mail from Axe, which contained Axe Cool Metal shower gel (and another product which I will review soon)..

"Bring the sensation of cool metal to your shower...A cooling, silver shower gel with fine quartz and zinc...Leaves you feeling ready for anything."

I jumped in the shower and popped the top, squeezing a small amount onto my pouf and began to lather it up. The first thing I noticed was the powerful smell of cold (if cold had a scent)...mint...menthol. It was mildy musky, but not in a bad way.

I lathered up and then it hit me. I felt tingling or coolness on my skin...similar to touching cool metal. I took a deep breath and it felt like I was inhaling snow fresh air. It was very invigorating, refreshing, and dare I say...energizing.

After a rinse and dry off, the gel left a clean feeling that was neither greasy nor filmy like other body washes I have used in the past and an after-smell of mild cologne or aftershave. I have to say Axe Cool Metal lived up to it's name.

nice, masculine, musky, and cool, I would recommend this product to anyone. Axe Cool Metal shower gel smells and feels like cool metal.

Otaku Paradise Website Review

After looking for a certain hard to find stationary item, I came across independently owned web shop Otaku Paradise. The website was somewhat easy to use, my only complaints being the minimal amount of photos per product, the minimal amount of items per page, every time I went back to the catagory, I had to start on page one and go through all 25 pages to find my product, and the lack of a wishlist. Needless to say, I found my product at a good price, with good S&H charges to match. After browsing the website, and adding various things to my cart, I went to review my cart and accidentally sent my order. I quickly went to the contact information and emailed the website to inform them of my mistake and promptly received an email that confirmed that the order had been canceled for me.

I returned to the website a few days later, and perused around a bit more, and placed a different order. When confirmed, the order detail did not have my address noted, so I went to my email to ensure the proper address would be put on the package. Again, I was answered promptly and assured that the package would arrive at it's intended destination. I eagerly awaited the arrival of my package.

I received my order promptly, well packaged with a hand written note inside thanking me for my purchase and hopeful wishes for the enjoyment of my product, which was in perfect condition, and exactly as the item description had described.

Vivitar V25/Buy.com/Electronics Expo Review

Looking for another camera, that would be easy to use for an adult who is technology impaired, I found the Vivitar V25 Digital Camera on the buy.com website on sale sold by Electronics Expo.

Product description per website:

"This Vivitar V25 Digital Camera is a great starter camera. It is simple, easy to use and affordable with the functionality of other digital cameras. It features 2.1 MP, can store up to 120 photos internally, has a 1.5 inch preview screen, auto flash, and can shoot video clips. Included with the package is Vivitar Experience Software, USB Cable, Strap, Instruction Manual, and 1 Year Warranty."

I placed my order and  awaited it's arrival.

My package arrived in a timely manner but was not very well packaged. I would expect that something as fragile as a camera would come boxed, but instead was packed in a bubble wrap envelope.

After opening the package, the first thing I noticed was that the camera pictured on the website (pictured above) is not the camera I received. Instead I received a more fragile looking camera (pictured right) that DID NOT HAVE A FLASH as mentioned in the product description. I preceded to open the camera packaging, found the software, and wriststrap included, inserted two AA batteries (not included) and turned the camera on.

I was highly disappointed. In addition to the camera NOT HAVING A FLASH, the LCD screen had digital markings or "scarring" which made the photographer unable to view what it is they are photographing.

I immediately contacted the website and gave my product reviews, and opinions. A few days later I was contacted by email by a company rep via email asking what it was that I didn't like about the product, even though I left a thorough review with reasons as to why I didn't like the product. After giving a brief summary, I was contacted by phone by a representative who asked what I had already answered twice before. After again stating my case, I was told that I would be receiving a UPS shipping label to return the product.

That was the last I had heard from them in over a month, until yesterday, when I received another email asking why I was not happy with the product. I replied letting know this was the second time I had received such email and pointed out that everything I had to say about the product was in the review I left on the website. It seems that the seller is worried more about the rating than the customer.

Writing the review today, I returned to the website and was disappointed to find the description and picture had not changed.

Disney Pix Click Digital Camera/Icemonkey.com Review

Looking around the web for a camera for a child that has shown interest in photography, and not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for something that might just be a passing fad, i came across the Disney Pix Click Digital Camera with LCD Screen and Disney Pix Photo Editing Software made by the company digiblue, for sale on the website icemonkey.com.

• 1.3 mp camera
• built-in auto flash
• holds up to 100 photos
• requires 1 AA battery (not included)
• USB enabled
• included software provides tools to customize photos

At $9.99 USD with free shipping and handling, i figured, couldn't be that bad, right? I put in my order, and waited patiently for my shipment to arrive.

In about 12 days, i recieved my package (which by the way wasn't packed too well), opened it to find it packaged exactly as shown above. Upon opening the plastic packaging, i inserted the batteries (it needed three, not one as the specs indicated) and turned the camera on. Everything seemed to be in working order, although using the 1.4" LCD screen was rather difficult as everything was small and pixelated, and made it hard to identify and seperate what it was you were pointing the camera at. I took 50 shots of random things indoor and out. I connected the camera to my computer via included USB cord, and loaded the pics. Of those 50 pictures taken 20 showed digital "scarring" or half-pics. the rest were minimal quality at best.

I contacted customer service at icemonkey.com and was answered via email promptly, and sent a form to fill and return with camera for a full refund.

Would definitely recommend site. Many great finds at good deals. Paying shipping for a product to be returned which malfunctioned when received to get a full refund (around $3 after shipping) is out of the question. I'll just count this as a loss.
